Your contractor will perform several performance and safety checks, which may include examining the fireplace framework for gaps or cracks, the glass for cracks, the ceramic logs for deterioration, and the chimney for condensation. Your contractor may also ensure that your gas ignition and carbon monoxide detectors are working properly.

Your contractor will submit a rebate application for you. You’ll get your rebate on the contractor invoice or receive a check in the mail within six to eight weeks.
