The Benefits of ENERGY STAR Certified Clothes Dryers

Gas dryers that earn the ENERGY STAR label are independently certified to save energy, save money and protect the environment. If all dryers sold in the United States were ENERGY STAR certified, more than 22 billion pounds of carbon pollution could be prevented—equivalent to the emissions from 2 million vehicles annually.* According to ENERGY STAR, These gas dryers have:

  • Sensor drying, which reduces energy use by automatically shutting the unit off when clothes are dry
  • Features that use less heat to prevent overdrying—saving energy while reducing unnecessary wear and tear on clothes
  • A steam cycle that can prevent wrinkles and help save time spent on ironing
  • Longer drying cycles on a low heat setting to use less energy
