Maryland residential Washington Gas customers can save hundreds with rebates on qualifying natural gas water heaters and dryers purchased at our approved retailers. Look out for Washington Gas signage highlighting rebates in these stores. Retail associates there can help you find the right appliance for your home.
Select ENERGY STAR® certified natural gas water heaters may also be eligible for a federal tax credit. Montgomery County residents may also receive a county energy efficiency tax credit.
Participation is easy! To qualify for a rebate:
- Purchase qualifying equipment in-store at an approved retailer.
- Hire a participating contractor in the Washington Gas Home Energy Savings Contractor Network to install the equipment
- Apply for your rebate online at the retail application website.
- Receive a rebate check within 6–8 weeks of completing your application.
