Rodney Young has been installing energy-efficient tankless water heaters since 2006. In 2020, he opened his own water heating installation business named Tankless Solutions in Ellicott City, Maryland. To help find new customers, he enrolled his business in the Washington Gas Home Energy Savings Contractor Network.
“We receive a lot of leads from being on [the contractor] web page,” says Rodney, who sells and installs home heating equipment throughout the Maryland and Washington, D.C., area. “People contact us because they found the rebates through your website and then look for a participating contractor.”
Tankless Solutions is just one of many small businesses throughout Maryland and Virginia within our Home Energy Savings Contractor Network. Together, Washington Gas and local contractors promote energy efficiency incentives that deliver real savings to residents.
Washington Gas offers hundreds of dollars in rebates to help customers upgrade their aging home heating systems. To protect our customers, these rebates are only valid when systems are installed by qualified and licensed contractors within our network.
Customers use our “Find A Contractor” tool to get quotes from small businesses near them. Upon successful application, you’ll gain access to this tool and expand your reach to over 1.1 million Washington Gas residential customers.
You’ll also receive our contractor e-newsletter, a quarterly publication providing the latest news on rebate programs, natural gas training seminars, events, and marketing offerings that help you sell energy efficiency appliances and services.
Program participants include Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system contractors and plumbers who install high-efficiency natural gas home heating, water heating, and clothes dryer appliances, and who provide tune-up services for home heating appliances and gas fireplaces. Washington Gas verifies participating contractors’ applicable trade licenses and insurance coverage before adding them to our network.
Applying to the Home Energy Savings Contractor Network is easy and free. You only need to fill the application out once if you service both Virginia and Maryland.
